There’s real investment flowing into fire safety and building remediation right now, and it’s a good moment to be operating in this space. In a new interview with Proactive Investors, LSTH CEO Simon Deacon spoke to just how live the sector has become, pointing to a £20 million quoted pipeline and 11 projects currently underway across schools, hospitals, hotels and social housing, on the back of increased regulatory activity since the Building Safety Regulator changed departments.
The clearest sign of that momentum is Efficiency East Midlands’ newly launched £800 million fire safety and remediation framework for public buildings, with £584 million of it sitting in lots for external walls, facades, cladding and cavity barriers, exactly where our Passive Fire Protection division and Injectaclad solution operate. To be clear, we haven’t won any work under this framework, it has only just launched. What excites us is the scale of investment going into the sector as a whole, and that’s the kind of market we want to be positioned in.
