Light Science Technologies Holdings PLC (AIM:LST) has received a £123,000 order for its nurturGROW lighting from the Richel Group, a company specializing in agronomic solutions.
The order will be delivered in January 2025, and the revenue will be recognized in the first half of the same year.
LSTH will provide customised nurturGROW lighting for a new aeroponic glasshouse in Germany, covering 0.5 hectares. The lighting will be used to grow various leafy greens and is expected to be operational in the first quarter of next year.
Its nurturGROW products are designed to optimise crop yields and reduce costs, offering a customizable, upgradable, and reusable solution for glasshouses.
The Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) division, which received this latest order, reported £500,000 in revenue over eight months in 2024 and has a pipeline of over £40 million.
“Global food and water shortages, growing populations, climate change, consumer habits and government policy are all forcing producers to look at the way we grow food,” said CEO Simon Deacon.
“We believe our CEA division is well positioned to take full advantage of the substantial long-term commercial opportunities in this market.”
